There are always a wide-range of design projects on the boards at ALSC.
While we cant share all the details with you, we can give you a glimpse of where were headed on some interesting places and spaces.
Freeman Elementary School
The scope of work for this elementary school modernization and expansion project involves expanding its current size from 32,000 square feet to 45,000 square feet. Major elements of work include:
Focus on safety and security.
Additional classrooms.
New cafeteria/multi-purpose space (allowing current gym/cafeteria to be used exclusively as a gym in the future).
Bringing the building up to code.
New heating, ventilation and cooling systems.
Site improvements including event and parking, athletic field improvements, bus staging and pedestrian circulation were evaluated and coordinated in detail to provide a campus that will serve the District’s needs for the next 50 years.
A combination of phased construction and housing students in portable classrooms will allow for construction to occur in a most cost-effective manner.
