ALSC Architects has worked extensively with Coldwater Creek, a retailer of women’s clothing and accessories, on the design of over 30 retail stores throughout the United States. Each store captures the look and feel of the Coldwater Creek brand by the use of wood, ambient lighting, water features, and a “browser-friendly” merchandising strategy. Located at the corner of Fifth and Pine, the 13,000 square foot Seattle flagship store features women’s apparel, gifts, jewelry, home furnishings and accessories. Two waterfalls create an outdoor theme. Water also runs through a “stream” enclosed in the wood flooring, carrying water from the main entrance to the first waterfall at the top of the staircase and finally to the second waterfall on the lower level.
