In order to support a quality educational environment, Herak Center for Engineering was expanded and renovated to provide a stimulating and aesthetically pleasing environment for Gonzaga University’s engineering students. A 7,000 square foot addition was constructed to house a new hydrology lab, a student project lab, two new classrooms and a seminar room. The lobby was also expanded to accommodate student breakout spaces and project displays.
Existing laboratories were upgraded and equipped with the latest technological tools to match industry standards, and classrooms were redesigned to offer increased flexibility and to accommodate today’s teaching technology. The electrical and electronic infrastructure throughout the building was upgraded to accommodate a high-speed internal computer network system to meet current and future needs of all building users.
