The Spokane Fire Department Training Center is part of a four building regional public safety training center located just east of the Spokane Community College campus.

This 16,300 square foot facility includes classrooms, auditorium, training staff offices and an audio-video recording studio. Training is provided for new recruit classes and in-service training for the Spokane Fire Department and other regional fire departments. The facility was also designed to serve as an emergency operations center, so it is truly a multi-functional building.

The design team selected Kalwall to provide large amounts of diffuse lighting on all four sides of the lobby. This creates the illusion of a floating roof plane and gives the space a warm, outdoor feeling year-round.
