Having worked in a team-based environment for the past 23 years, Luke Shiras recently joined the ALSC team. As a Project Architect, Luke has managed, coordinated, and completed work on multiple project types; often with simultaneous schedules or overlapping deadlines. His experience includes all project phases, from design development to construction. Luke’s many strengths include quality control, code analysis, and coordination of construction documents and specifications.
Luke received his Bachelor of Science in Design from Arizona State University in 1997 and is a LEED accredited professional. He is a licensed architect in the states of Washington, Idaho, and California.
One of Luke’s favorite buildings is the Hagia Sofia. Its cavernous interior that expands upward and outward without revealing everything at once is a constant surprise. Similarly, one of his favorite places to visit is the Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico. Its spacious interior expands upward and outward in much the same way with a very similar effect. Either way, these two places make Luke realize how small we really are in the grand scheme of things. That humility motivates him to find satisfaction in helping others in his person and professional life.
