This new aquatic center replaces an existing community pool that was built in the 1930’s. The project includes the design of an eight-lane recreation pool, children’s splash pool, and leisure/wellness pool. The pool building includes a community room, changing/locker rooms, office space, and equipment room.
The 25-yard lap pool is focused primarily on swim training and competition.
The leisure/wellness pool accommodates fitness, therapy, leisure, play, and general recreation activities. It contains a zero-depth entry area with interactive spray features. The fitness area supports aquatic therapy and exercise classes, swim lessons, relaxation, and multi-purpose recreational programs.
Deck-anchored hoops for water basketball and stanchions for a water volleyball net are included. For additional adventure, there is an 8’ climbing wall located over five feet of water depth, where guests can use hand and footholds to climb out of the water. A retracting rope swing will allow guests to swing out over the water before letting go. An engineered sliding fulcrum retracts back safely to the pool deck after each use.
