A Licensed Architect with nine years of professional experience, Jacob Simonson earned his Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon and Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Idaho.
Jacob began taking drafting classes in high school while also working residential construction. Building and then drafting/thinking about the design of buildings was what got his attention, and he found himself actually wanting to do drafting homework rather than having to do it. From there and through Architecture school he realized that he really enjoyed the creative problem solving and making/creating aspect of Architecture.
One of Jacob’s favorite buildings is The Charles F. Berg Building in Portland - such a simple but amazing piece of Art Deco Architecture.
