St. Peter Parish of Spokane requested the spatial manifestation of a prayer aiding in the grief of someone dealing with child death. The only requirements were to place the sacred space along a pathway at the perimeter of the church campus, create a node for parishioners and community members, and to strategically place a selected painting.
The open-endedness of the program allowed for exploration in materiality, light, and the faith experience to progress through these multiple stages of the grieving and healing journey.
